General Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Junk Crows services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Junk Crows provides junk removal, hauling, and disposal services for residential and commercial properties in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Services include but are not limited to:

• Residential junk removal
• Commercial cleanouts
• Construction debris removal
• Furniture and appliance removal
• Estate cleanouts
• Yard debris removal

3. Service Pricing and Payment

• Pricing: Pricing is based on volume, weight, type of materials, and labor required
• Estimates: On-site estimates are provided before work begins
• Payment: Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements are made
• Accepted Payment: Cash, check, and major credit cards
• Additional Fees: Special handling fees may apply for hazardous materials, extremely heavy items, or items requiring special disposal

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

• Accurately describe items to be removed when scheduling service
• Ensure safe and clear access to items
• Be present or have an authorized representative present during service
• Identify and separate items to be removed from items to keep
• Disclose any hazardous materials or safety concerns
• Ensure legal ownership or authorization to dispose of items

5. Items We Cannot Accept

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot remove:

• Hazardous chemicals and solvents
• Asbestos-containing materials
• Medical waste and pharmaceuticals
• Biohazardous materials
• Explosives and ammunition
• Wet paint and oil-based paints
• Pesticides and herbicides
• Motor oil and automotive fluids

6. Scheduling and Cancellations

• Scheduling: Services are scheduled based on availability
• Arrival Window: We provide a 2-hour arrival window
• Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations
• No-Show Fee: A fee may apply for appointments where customer is not present or accessible

7. Liability and Insurance

• Junk Crows is fully licensed and insured
• We maintain general liability insurance for protection of our customers
• We are not responsible for damages to property that result from pre-existing conditions
• Customers must point out any fragile areas or special concerns before work begins

8. Property Damage

While we take every precaution to protect your property:

• Any damage claims must be reported before our crew leaves the premises
• Photos should be taken of any alleged damage
• We will investigate all claims promptly and fairly
• Normal wear and tear from moving heavy items is not considered damage

9. Environmental Responsibility

Junk Crows is committed to environmental sustainability:

• We maintain a 60%+ recycling and donation rate
• Items are sorted for donation, recycling, and proper disposal
• We partner with local charities and recycling facilities
• Hazardous materials are directed to appropriate disposal facilities

10. Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation
• If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be settled through arbitration
• These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon
• Legal proceedings must be brought in Multnomah County, Oregon

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Our liability is limited to the value of services provided
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not responsible for items mistakenly disposed of if not properly identified

12. Indemnification

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Junk Crows, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Customer's breach of these terms
• Disposal of items customer does not own or have authority to dispose
• Undisclosed hazardous materials or dangerous conditions
• False or misleading information provided by customer

13. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Junk Crows regarding our services.
